CMP Therapeutics Ltd was founded by Dr Peter Strong and Bruce Savage in 2004 to develop medical applications of chitin microparticles (CMP) in the prevention of disease. The company was founded on the research carried out by Dr Strong at the Immunochemistry Unit, Department of Biochemistry, University of Oxford. The company has a patent filing (2001) on the medical uses of chitin microparticles.
